Nonimaging Optics: Efficient Design for Illumination and Concentration XX
Part of SPIE Optics + Photonics 2025
San Diego, California, US | August 3-7, 2025
About the Conference
The Nonimaging Optics conference at SPIE Optics + Photonics is the primary annual meeting point for researchers in nonimaging optics, illumination design, and solar concentration optics. We feature a broad spectrum of presentations ranging from foundational developments to practical applications of nonimaging optics.
Join us for the milestone 2025 conference as we celebrate two decades of advancing nonimaging optics at SPIE Optics + Photonics, and six decades since the inception of the compound parabolic concentrator!

Design Competition
In honor of our twentieth anniversary, this year's conference will feature a special design competition paying tribute to the refleXion-refleXion (XX) optical concentrator. Open to all conference attendees and anyone else who wants to give it a try!
Go to CompetitionBest Presentation Award
The conference committee will present a Best Student and Postdoc Presentation Award, sponsored by Synopsys, to recognize great oral presentations by students and postdoctoral researchers.
All PhD students and postdocs giving oral presentations at the conference are eligible for the award.
Call for Papers
Do you want to present your latest research at the conference? We invite submissions across all aspects of nonimaging optics, from theoretical foundations to practical applications.
